Partly sunny Friday. Forget the forecast for chance of showers this morning; radar is showing very small precipitation images between Rockford and west Cook County, but they are all diminishing. The  satellite images showed thick clouds over most of northern Illinois earlier, but the back end to the west is diminishing by about 9:15 a.m. Next chance of rain is Saturday at 1:00 a.m., but more likely about 4:00 a.m. with thundershowers or thunderstorms through Sunday around noon. Gusty winds up to the mid-20 MPH Friday, Saturday, and Sunday -- trending up to low 30 MPH range Sunday and Monday.  Get ready for a morning low of 43°F Monday morning about 5:00 a.m.



Friday: A slight chance of showers between 9am and 10am. Partly sunny, with a high near 76. South wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Friday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms between 1am and 4am, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 4am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 63. South wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
